About Hud & Nancy

Hud and Nancy have ministered together for 37 years with Christian Associates, an international church planting organization. Six of those years, Hud was Academic Dean and professor at the “Center for Advanced Biblical Studies” in California and Dallas, a degree granting seminary of Christian Associates International.

Hud was on the pastoral staffs of two Fellowship Bible Churches in Dallas, Texas for 25 years.  Serving on the pastoral staff at one, where he was the Director of the Counseling Ministry, and a member of the Elder Board. At the original FBC, he was Sr. Pastor.

Before his time in California, Hud spent nine years as a professor of Psychology at Texas Wesleyan University. He has been a licensed psychologist in Texas since 1975, and in Colorado since 2000.  He has been in private practice for over 40 years.  He is a professional counseling and leadership development resource for local evangelical pastors.  He specializes in relational seminars, and intensives, and is an adjunct professor at Denver Theological Seminary.

Hud and Nancy’s ministry focus is the development of a leaders inner spiritual life (deep “soul work”). This is crucial and of central significance to effectiveness in life and ministry. Leaving a lifelong transformative impact goes beyond any metric. So many pressing “demands” and “needs” in leaders lives mask the real interior substance of their hearts. It is possible to have great strategy, skill, and expertise, but a shriveled soul. Without wholeness, the ultimate influence of our lives and ministry will be diminished. Hud and Nancy’s heart cry and message is for people, especially leaders, to “grow up from the inside out.” This is, and has been, their passion, their life message, and their calling.

Hud is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, and North Texas State University. Nancy attended Seattle Pacific University and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University, with a Masters from North Texas State University.  She’s been a substitute teacher in the public school systems in Texas and Colorado for 25 years.

Hud and Nancy met in high school and have been married for 48 years.  They have three married children and four grandchildren, and reside in Denver, Colorado. Nancy has served alongside Hud in ministry for over 40 years.

In 1 Corinthians 4:7, the apostle Paul asks a rhetorical question, “What do you have that you have not received?”  The implied answer is, “Nothing Lord, it is truly all a gift from your hand!”
